Blam! Game over, flat tire. Sorry apologists, you will have to find somewhere else to apologize for our local government, this site is no longer available to you. Go apologize at some other site. I can think of one, if you don't get edited too heavily. Pass the kool aid, please!!

Our area has suffered for a long time at the hands of the “insiders”, those who are politically well connected and “know people”. Our town is no different from others in that respect. Life would have been good for the insiders, except that they chose to annex me. Without asking me first. $3k per year in more taxes. That was a very bad move on their part.

So, I am going to spend a bit of energy and effort pointing out the bad decisions, insiderness, and other political weaknesses of our local government. After all, they are burning my $3k, I should have a say, right?

Some will see this effort as mean spirited, sour grapes, etc. You are welcome to your opinion, and if you don't like what you read, please let me redirect your reading efforts to **__I Luv You__** where all will be pleasant, happy and harmonious. Remember, Barney Sez: “Parenting requires a steady hand”.

I still remember laughing at Carrboro's efforts to ban drive throughs, boycott purchases from Burma because they were _so_mean to elephants, etc. This was back when I thought there was no way I would be annexed by and therefore associated with them. After all, the Town told me so when I moved from Tallyho Trail to my current home some years ago. I could just sit back and laugh from my cozy Orange co. location. Well, now the laugh is on me, but the last laugh has not been gotten yet.

So sit back, relax with your lattes and enjoy my rants about how your local government is not doing its job. Maybe if you get mad enough, you will even show up at the polls next time.
