Cosmo thinks the Republican vice presidential nominee is really kool, not as in “Carrboro Cool-Aid cool”, but in the general sense. Known widely as “the hottest governor from the coldest state”, Mrs. Sarah (no maiden name) Palin has really made the upcoming elections interesting.
One of the best things to come of this choice for VP is the utter and total flummoxing amongst the ranks of OPies, and their ilk on display throughout the USA. They are spinning like a “hit dog on the highway”. The Republicans have managed to do what the Democrats could not - get a woman on the ticket. What woman could Obama have picked … hmmm… hmm…
What's going on here? The local and national media are overrun with articles critical of Mrs. Palin, but not the used car sales manager VP candidate Joe “Badger” Biden - plagiarist and perennial presidential candidate. First they savage Hillary, and now Sarah. Guess it still is a man's world.
Much of the Palin criticism is in poor taste (and that takes something for Cosmo to say) and takes the form of juvenile character assasination (as was done with Ms. Clinton). Heavens she's a “hockey mom”. She's not a “non-breeder mom”. Paraphrasing Mo from Morons in Chapel Hill says, ”Scratch a progressive. Find a fascist.” Very little OPie criticism presents factual data to support any claims. Classic progressive whining rules the day!
Cosmo thinks that the real problem is that the Democrats and their media supporters thought they had it wrapped. The White House would be theirs in November. Uh oh, now the game is on!
Witness the local real estate advertiser, aka The Chapel Hill News. A sanctimonious, self-described author (“Lesbians and Gays and Sports”), newspaper columnist (the Indy, of course), screenwriter (unfilmed), playwright (off, off, off Broadway), historian (not degreed), genealogist (isn't everyone?), and non-breeding bon vivant boulevardier (aka poseur or trustafarian) crows about how Mrs. Palin's selection is ”insulting to all, especially women”.
That's a good one, Mr. Knob telling women “wassup” again? What a hypocrite! A man explaining to women how they have been insulted. Research? None. Facts? None. Another classic OPie piece.
Cosmo knows what is really going on here. Democratic party faithfuls are panicking. They are resorting to the very smear tactics used against Ms. Clinton.
Nominating Ms. Palin was a brilliant move on the part of John McCain. Ms. Palin will appeal to “normal American” women AND men who are tired of having another old white dude who has spent the past 20 some years sucking on the K Street Canyon lobbying tit while claiming to represent the working class, just “Biden their time”.
So, keep on whining, spinning, and slamming Ms. Palin, OPies. No independents are listening, and we know what you are really crying about!
