Boy, if this ain't confusing. After all the talk about walkability, bicycle friendly, etc. etc. literally ad nauseam, now there is a development that is being proposed that purportedly does not have enough parking???? What the heck is going on here?

Maybe they should have demanded more bicycle parking instead of car parking; bike parking is good for a “LEED” point. We all need those, ya know!

I think the BOA needs to let them put in whatever the “for profit” “private developer” thinks the “economic market” calls for. I know that can be a foreign concept if you've never worked for a profit based entity.

Here is a link to the whole story, read it and weep.! I like the part at the end best, where they talk about “payment in lieu”, which is secret BOA code for “armed robbery”. Hmmmm- maybe we should add a line in the phictionary!
