I think it is a crying shame that, while downtown Carrboro is getting a second sidewalk on the other side of Greensboro Street, lovely communities such as Heritage Hills and Laurel Springs have none!! I was so outraged by this social injustice that I have started a petition to ask Carrboro to annex these two neighborhoods. With the social-justice act of doubling of property taxes that these two neighborhoods will see, there will be plenty of money in the town's coffers to provide these desparately needed sidewalks.
